CIBC expands National Homebuilder Finance team with hire in Newport Beach
CHICAGO, August 10, 2021 — CIBC today announced the addition of David Vazquez, managing director and commercial group manager, as part of the Bank’s National Homebuilder Finance team in Newport Beach, California.

Vazquez brings many years of commercial real estate experience to CIBC. Prior to joining the bank, he served as director and homebuilder product specialist at Bank of the West, where he was responsible for elevating the Bank’s presence in the publicly traded homebuilding segment, while sourcing commercial banking relationships with homebuilders and real estate companies. Previously, he worked at CalAtlantic Group, Inc., as vice president and treasurer. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine.
