You must designate at least 1 primary beneficiary for your HSA when opening your account online. You can designate up to 3 primary beneficiaries at this time. In the event of your death, your primary beneficiaries will receive the proceeds of your account in the percentages that you designate.

You may also designate up to 3 contingent beneficiaries. Contingent beneficiaries will receive the proceeds of your account if all of your primary beneficiaries predecease you.

All primary and contingent beneficiaries must be natural persons.
