Transcript: Reset Password
Keeping your account secure is important.
In this video, we'll show you how to change your password with CIBC US Digital Banking.
It only takes a minute.
Use your computer to access the Sign On page on the CIBC US Digital Banking website.
You can also use the CIBC US Mobile Banking app to reset your password.
Underneath the password prompt, you'll find the option Reset Password.
Clicking on this takes you to reset your password.
First, enter your user ID.
Verify your identity using your social security number or your date of birth.
Type that information into the space provided. Then hit continue.
This takes you to select a contact method to validate your new password.
A code is sent to your phone via text message or by phone call.
Click on the link at the bottom of the page to have the code sent out.
When received, type the code into the space provided, then hit submit.
Now you're ready to create your new password.
Making sure to follow the specified rules, type your new password into the first space provided.
Then reenter your password into the second space provided.
The passwords must match or you'll be prompted to redo the second one. Then click Continue.
A notice will appear letting you know that you've successfully reset your password.
Click Continue again and you'll be transferred to the Overview page where you can view your accounts.
