CHICAGO, JULY 19, 2023 — CIBC today announced the hiring of:
- Robert Bridgman – Managing Director and Senior Business Development Officer in Chicago
- Jay Majka – Managing Director and Senior Business Development Officer in Cleveland
- Frank Alessi – Equipment Finance Asset Manager in Chicago
Robert Bridgman brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his role as senior business development officer in CIBC’s Chicago office. In this role, he is responsible for business development within the Construction and Engineering team, working with a team of bankers that deliver a comprehensive suite of services, such as commercial banking, treasury management, investment products, capital markets, private banking and wealth management.
Bridgman and his team provide services through a relationship-based model to owners and businesses that operate in the construction industry. Prior to joining CIBC, Bridgman served as senior-vice president at Bank of America. Bridgman received a master of business administration degree from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College. He spends time volunteering at the Misericordia and Feed My Starving Children organizations.
With over 20 years of banking experience, Jay Majka joins as a senior business development officer on CIBC’s Equipment Finance team in Cleveland. He’s responsible for developing and retaining profitable equipment finance relationships across multiple territories and deepening the team’s focus on ensuring consistent banker and client engagement. Previously, Majka worked at JP Morgan Chase.
Frank Alessi is a 15-year veteran who joins CIBC in Chicago as an equipment finance asset manager. In this role, he supports the equipment finance group in value projections, facilitating appraisal reviews and with analysis of different types of equipment. Before joining CIBC, he was an equipment manager at Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Alessi earned a master of business administration degree from Keller Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is currently on the board of the Chi-Sox Foundation.
