CIBC adds new Commercial Banking team members

CHICAGO, FEBRUARY 13, 2023 — CIBC today welcomed several new hires to its U.S. Commercial Banking team:

  • Jeff Henry, Managing Director and Senior Business Development Manager
  • Megan Goar, Managing Director and Market Lead, Sponsor Finance
  • Nick Koziak, Managing Director, Non-Bank Finance
  • Ryan Brown, Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager

Jeff Henry joins CIBC’s Southeastern region as a senior business development manager with over 20 years of industry experience. In this role, he leads market development in North Carolina and South Carolina with a focus on middle market clients. Prior to joining the Bank, Henry served as a commercial banker at Pinnacle Financial Partners. He earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina and dual  bachelors’ degrees in chemistry and economics from North Carolina State University. Henry currently serves as Chair of the Board of Advisors for YMCA Camp Greenville.

Megan Goar brings more than 15 years of experience to CIBC as a market lead in Chicago, Illinois. In her role, she fosters new and existing relationships with private equity clients. Previously, she served as a director at BMO Harris Bank where she was responsible for originating, underwriting and managing a portfolio of private equity clients across the US. Goar earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in finance and operations management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Goar is a member of the Hinsdale Junior Women’s Club.

Nick Koziak joins CIBC’s Chicago, Illinois, office as a managing director in the Non-Bank Finance Group, where he brings more than 10 years of industry experience. In this role, he originates and structures bespoke financial solutions for private credit managers. Before joining CIBC, Koziak worked as vice president for Capital One’s Financial Institutions Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Koziak also serves as a member of the Big Shoulders Fund Chairman’s Advisory Council.

Ryan Brown brings 10 years of industry experience to CIBC as a senior relationship manager in Chicago, Illinois. In this role he fosters commercial relationships, sources and underwrites loans, and manages a book of business of middle market clients both within Chicago and across the United States. Previously, he worked at PNC Bank as an associate vice president and relationship manager in their commercial banking group. Brown earned his MBA in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from DePauw University. He is a member of the Naperville Jaycees.
