CIBC recognizes Entrepreneur Training Program graduates

CHICAGO, DECEMBER 21, 2021 — CIBC today recognized several small businesses that have completed Entrepreneur Training Programs (ETPs) through one of the bank’s partner organizations, focused on giving entrepreneurs of small business start-ups the skills and training they need to become successful.

“We are pleased to recognize November’s ETP graduates,” says Beth Witczak, head of CIBC US Community Development. “Assisting local business owners achieve their ambitions and create economic opportunities in their communities is something we take pride in.”

Qualified ETP graduates are eligible for the CIBC Entrepreneur Loan Program, which provides affordable financing to start-up and early-stage small businesses in Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Detroit. CIBC works with with a variety of organizations to offer entrepreneur training programs.

Last month, over 30 graduates began the process of establishing new businesses, and several community partners in Chicago hosted ETP graduation ceremonies, including:

Since starting the Entrepreneur Loan Program in 2013, CIBC has provided nearly $2.8 million in financing to more than 354 small businesses.
