How to send money with Zelle®
- Sign on to the CIBC US Mobile Banking app and navigate to the “Zelle®” section, found under “Transfers,” “Payments,” or “Send Money.”
- Under “Send Money with Zelle®”, choose the option to “Send” to start the transfer.
- Select a recipient, or if it’s your first time sending money to this person, enter the recipient’s email address or mobile number.
- Enter the payment amount you wish to send.
- Choose whether to send the payment immediately and have it processed right away or select a future date to schedule your payment for a future date.
- If you have multiple accounts, select which account you want the funds to come from.
- Review the payment details, including the recipient’s contact info, the amount, and the payment date. If everything looks correct, confirm the transaction. Zelle® will notify your recipient via email or text that a payment is being sent.
After confirming, the money will either be sent immediately or on the scheduled date, depending on your selection. Both you and the recipient will receive a confirmation notification once the payment has been processed.
