Our involvement

Algonquin Lake in the Hills Food Pantry

We are proud to recognize our employee volunteers each year for their outstanding work in the community. Recently, we honored Gerry Guibeault, who organizes a golf fundraiser for the Algonquin Lake in the Hills Food Pantry. The food pantry serves over 300 families, homeless and military personnel each month. Thanks to his efforts with the golf outing, Gerry and his team have raised $140,000 over the last 13 years for the food pantry.

Junior Achievement

All-Team Volunteer Day

Every year, over 500 CIBC employees across the country participate in our All-Team Volunteer Day. Our teams visit over 3,000 students in K-8 classrooms in their communities to teach the Money Savvy program, a personal finance curriculum tailored to students at every age.

Big Shoulders Fund

Our technological services team volunteers with Big Shoulders Fund to provide schools with free technology evaluations, a benefit that saves schools time and money. Big Shoulders Fund helps children in need access quality, values-based education by providing scholarship support, leadership development programs and operational improvements for schools.
